Each of us wants to be happy and healthy. By focusing on becoming happier, research suggests that we will not only feel better, but also have more energy, improved immune function, increased creativity, improved relationships, and increased productivity. Happiness leads to a healthier, longer life!
Happiness is usually described as a state of being happy or experiencing good fortune, pleasure, contentment, and joy. However, the definition of happiness is unique to each individual.
Most of us think that money will bring us lots of happiness for a long time but studies show that money brings a little happiness for only a short time. Research also demonstrates that wealthy people are not much happier than those who are not wealthy.
In and of themselves, objects, situations, money, and people do not give us a feeling of true happiness. True inner happiness can only be experienced in the present moment when our mind is not thinking, judging, or labeling.
There is no one great secret to achieving happiness. Each of us must determine which strategies and activities work best for us. Luckily, there are lots of ways to increase our happiness. Try some of the suggestions below and see if it doesn’t make a difference today!
